Skin peeling always has been the ultimate way to restore, improve and maintain the skin.
There is no real improvement process without any peeling. To get good results and to choose the right peeling, we need to consider a few parameters:
1 . Problem diagnosis - sun damage, aging, acne, hyperpigmentation.
2. Condition and skin type - thick or thin, oily or dry, healthy or with any problem.
3. Type, concentration and PH level of the active substance and understanding of its action on the skin.
4. Preliminary skin preparation.
Peeling types - exfoliating exponent
A cosmetologist does not use the term "deep peeling", as it belongs to the medical field.
The cosmetologist's peeling will be defined as significant peeling or peeling.
Chemical Skin Peeling - applying chemicals, that accelerate the normal peeling process the skin.
1 . Superficial exfoliation - performed by a professional cosmetologist, in the epidermal layer only, and can reach the base layer. Suitable for improving deep wrinkles, acne scars, hyper-pigmentation.
2. More superficial exfoliation - by a professional cosmetologist or by yourself, peeling the corneal layer to the granular layer (Dermabrasion, Retin A, "4 LEVEL PEEL" by Dr.Klein - Alpha and Beta Hydroxy acids).
Benefits and effects of professional peeling
1 . Improved skin breathing - Improved cell-level function and improved penetration of active ingredients.
2. Improves skin tone - The thickened corneal layer gives the skin a vivid appearance, a significant exfoliation contributes to a luminous and uniform shade.
3. Improving scars and reducing pores.
4. Lightening epidermal spots.
5. Smoothing wrinkles.
6. Improving and treating sun damage.
7. Skin layer warming - skin firming, encouraging collagen and elastin regeneration.
8. Increase hyaluronic acid in the dermis.
4 stages of wound healing
I. Inflammation - An inflammatory stage that develops immediately and is characterized by redness and fever. (Do not wet 24 hours)
II. Coagulation - Creating a stretched skin / membrane, creating an epidermal separation membrane, the skin has a dense, dry and
wrinkled appearance - highlighted pigmentation areas.
III. Re-epithelization - exfoliation, new irradiation, discharge begins on 3-4 days.
IV. Fibroplasia - regeneration, new blood vessels, collagen formation, new tissue build-up accompanied by redness due to blood vessel proliferation in the area.
4 parameters for early customer evaluation
1 . Personal Questionnaire - Medical History: General Health, Herpes Tendency, Keloid Tendency, Past Exfoliation, Diet, Smoking, Fixed Drugs, Age, Nutrition, Roaccutane. Also, evaluated parameters such as: skin tone, skin condition, type of sensitivity, sun damage. Customer expectations are another parameter, that must be taken into account and must be clearly explained to the peeling process and what is required of her.
2. Fitzpatrick Table - Fitzpatrick is a doctor, who has found a link between the skin ability to sunbathe and its ability to develop hyperpigmentation after exfoliation and divided skin tones into six types:
I. White skin- Always burns, never tans..
II. Fair skin. - Always burns, tans with difficulty.
III. Average skin color - Sometimes mild burn, tan about average.
IV. Light-brown skin - Rarely burns. Tans easily.
V. Brown skin - Never burns. Tans very easily.
VI. Dark brown, Black skin - Heavily pigmented. Never burns, tans very easily.
The most comfortable and ideal skin for peeling is 1 + 2 types.
Skin Types 3 + 4 have tendency to Hyper Pigmentation (Common in Israel)
Skin types 5 + 6 are not suitable for chemical peeling.
Note: The darker the skin, the greater probability develop hyperpigmentation.
3. Sensitivity test - "Every person is a world" Never two people don't respond the same to the same treatment. It is not possible to insert skin types and skin states into a template and therefore a skin sensitivity test must be performed. The test is usually done about a week before the peeling and is done in three places: the wrist, at the ear and below the lower jaw line.
4. Skin Preparation and Rehabilitation - Proper skin preparation and restoration provide 3 important things:
1) Uniform and optimal peeling.
2) Prevention of side effects.
3) Normal peeling time.
